Timberline Grotto is based in the mountains of Western Colorado, and is dedicated to preserving the value and resources found within caves and karst systems. The Grotto is a resource for education, exploration, and fun – focused on caves, karst areas, and the creatures that inhabit them. The Grotto is one of seven NSS Grottos in the state. We welcome anyone that has an interest in caves and caving! Every year the grotto holds a number of events including grotto gatherings, caving trips, and conservation & safety projects at Spring Cave.
